London Business School (LBS) celebrated a major victory at the MBA Tournament (MBAT), held at HEC Paris, after nearly a decade. The event, known as the MBA Olympics, brought together top European business schools for three days of sports, networking, and social events.
Preparation and Unity Months of preparation, led by the “One LBS” mantra, saw over 250 LBS students participating with coordinated efforts and high spirits.
Day One Highlights LBS had a strong start with Ed Vickers-Willis winning gold in cross-training and the dance team securing bronze. The day ended with a vibrant party.
Day Two Success LBS dominated, winning 12 out of 15 swimming gold medals and excelling in touch rugby, the Spartan race, and women’s football. Evening events included a fashion show and Battle of the Bands.
Final Day and Victory Crucial wins in cricket, tennis, rowing, and badminton culminated in a dramatic tug-of-war victory. The MBAT Gala crowned LBS as champions, sparking joyous celebrations.
Community and Pride The triumph underscored the unity and pride within LBS. MBA Programme Director Helen Foley lauded the students’ dedication, marking the victory as a showcase of LBS’s spirit on a global stage. The win sets the stage for LBS to defend their title next year.
