In just eight months, an aspiring entrepreneur’s life changed dramatically through the power of networking within the MBA ecosystem. Their journey, from MBA ambitions to winning the prestigious Coller Competition, underscores the profound impact of the right connections.
Upon entering the Cambridge MBA program, they gained access to a network of over 200 impressive peers. Together, they formed an Entrepreneurship Special Interest Group (SIG), which led to a collaboration with Nucleate, an accelerator focused on cutting-edge science.
This partnership resulted in the birth of Change Bio, a startup with the potential to reduce methane emissions while producing high-value products more affordably. A fellow MBA student introduced them to the Coller Startup Competition, where Change Bio’s pitch to produce cost-effective Albumin won them £100,000, followed by the £200,000 Nucleate Venture Prize.
This journey serves as a testament to the life-changing possibilities of networking within an MBA program. It not only offers a valuable education but also connects aspiring entrepreneurs with a network capable of turning their dreams into reality.
