The new Oxford Saïd MBA class of 2025, a diverse cohort of 348 students from 58 nationalities, participated in the school’s first-ever Climate Boot Camp as part of their welcome programme. This compulsory event featured 14 climate experts, including Professor Myles Allen and former Unilever CEO Paul Polman, who offered insights into pressing climate challenges and the role of future business leaders in driving change.
Students found the sessions both “exciting and illuminating,” with many appreciating the chance to debate various perspectives on climate issues. The boot camp emphasized the urgent need for innovative solutions like carbon capture and renewable energy. Professor Allen urged students to be “radical” and proactive, while Polman highlighted the responsibility of businesses to act on climate, warning that sustainability is essential for long-term profitability.

Oxford Saïd is committed to keeping climate and sustainability at the forefront, offering students opportunities to contribute meaningfully to global climate action.
