Inspired Vision, Life-Changing Mission: Seraphin Kibonge’s Journey

Seraphin Kibonge (MBA ’24), born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, moved to the U.S. at a young age to escape war. His passion for healthcare began with a biology degree, aiming to find a malaria vaccine. However, two fellowships in hospital strategy and venture capital shifted his focus to healthcare business.

At UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, Kibonge embraced healthcare management and consulting. He interned with Bristol Myers Squibb and Excelerate Health Ventures, merging biology and business.

Kibonge now aims to improve global healthcare, especially in Africa, through new infrastructure, private-public partnerships, and better education. He’s committed to making scalable changes to ensure more people have access to affordable healthcare.
