Leni Peterson R., CEO and cofounder of Celeste, has a background in Mechanical Engineering, Human-Centered Design, and innovation consulting. Growing up in Mexico City, she witnessed severe water crises and realized the global significance of water management.
Celeste addresses the $400 billion water risk through watershed project development, stabilizing supply chains and promoting water stewardship.
Leni was inspired to start her company through early exposure to impactful products and innovative business models. Her biggest challenges were fears of failure and uncertainty about where to begin. She redefined success by focusing on addressing real-world problems and recommends aspiring entrepreneurs start by finding a problem they are passionate about.
The MS/MBA program at Harvard provided her with the technical and business skills to build her company. Courses like Technology Venture Immersion helped her develop the mindset needed to launch Celeste. The program also empowered her as a woman in entrepreneurship by providing tools, community, and confidence to pursue her dream.
Today, Leni’s venture is addressing critical water issues, proving that entrepreneurship can solve large-scale problems.
