The Cambridge University Energy Network (CUEN) 2024 conference successfully united Cambridge’s academic and industrial communities to tackle pressing energy issues. The theme, “Bridging Disciplines: A Holistic Approach to Decarbonization at CUEN,” featured three keynote lectures and two panel discussions, fostering innovative solutions.
Collaborating with the Cambridge University Energy Technology Society (CUETS) added diverse perspectives, enhancing the event. As a Cambridge student, I saw the potential in bringing together stakeholders in energy transition, leading to groundbreaking initiatives and valuable connections.
Despite challenges in securing high-profile speakers, perseverance resulted in engaging sessions and insightful discussions. The conference’s success lies in its interdisciplinary approach, aiming for impactful initiatives in the coming years.
