  • Content: Focus on results and accomplishments.
  • Details: Include employer names, positions held, job titles, and employment dates. Break out multiple positions with the same employer in reverse chronological order.
  • Bullet Points: Use the format verb + result + action/skills. Example: “Developed audience expansion strategy for gaming products by assessing consumer trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies.”

Education Section

  • Placement: Position below the experience section unless currently pursuing a degree.
  • Details: List all relevant education, including majors, minors, dates of attendance, degrees, and academic distinctions. Highlight merit-based awards, leadership roles, and significant activities.

Personal/Other Section

  • Content: Include language skills, community service, professional memberships, designations, extracurricular activities, and specific interests (e.g., “mastering sourdough bread baking”).

Format and Appearance

  • Layout: Position locations and employment periods flush right. Use reverse chronological order and concise, focused language.
  • Readability: Use a readable font size (10-12 point), include white space, and proofread for errors.

By following these guidelines, your resume will effectively communicate your experiences and achievements, making a strong impression on admissions committees.
