MIT Sloan professors Jacquelyn Pless and Rahul Bhui have been recognized in Poets&Quants’ Best 40-Under-40 MBA Professors list for 2024. This annual list honors young professors for their excellence in teaching and research.
Jacquelyn Pless: Economics of Environmental Innovation Assistant Professor of Technological Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Management, Jacquelyn Pless, joined MIT Sloan in 2019. Her research focuses on the economics of innovation, particularly energy and environmental innovation. She investigates what drives innovation for social progress and has studied subsidy programs for solar panels in California. In a paper for Nature Energy, Pless identified key challenges in evaluating energy innovation policies.
Rahul Bhui: Theories of Decision-Making Assistant Professor of Marketing Rahul Bhui, who joined MIT Sloan in 2020, combines cognitive science, computational neuroscience, and behavioral economics in his research. Bhui aims to uncover principles explaining rational and irrational decision-making. His recent work includes research on investing errors and the impact of AI-generated images on support for sustainable infrastructure.
