Ozioma Aniagu’s transformation from an intelligence field agent to an aspiring entrepreneur exemplifies her resilience and determination. Before her MBA at Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University, Aniagu spent a decade with Nigeria’s Department of State Service, honing her intelligence skills. She then moved to Canada, earned a master’s in software engineering, and spent five years in the tech industry.
Seeking to bridge her technical expertise with business acumen, Aniagu embarked on an MBA at Tepper, initially aiming for a career in technical product management. However, inspired by entrepreneurship classes and speakers, she pivoted towards creating her own business. Aniagu is developing a consumer product designed to automate the cooking process of a popular African staple, aiming to bring African culinary heritage to global kitchens.
With graduation on the horizon, Aniagu is finalizing a prototype, targeting a 2025 launch. Reflecting on her MBA journey, she credits the Tepper School with realizing her potential and providing invaluable resources and support. Aniagu also enhanced her interpersonal skills through the Accelerate Leadership Center, deepening her connections within the Tepper community.
As she prepares to balance a role as a technical product manager with her entrepreneurial endeavors, Aniagu is poised to leverage her unique background and skills to make a significant impact in the business world.
