Vimal Lamba, an MBA student at King’s College and a solar energy entrepreneur, recently participated in a 3-day workshop on social entrepreneurship, aimed at turning passion into pragmatic solutions to societal problems. The workshop involved sessions on visual storytelling, where participants learned to use images and graphics to communicate their missions effectively. They also delved into systems thinking and business plan drafting, focusing on creating sustainable social enterprises that address root causes rather than just symptoms.
Participants engaged in practical exercises, including drafting business plans and identifying key partners and revenue models. The workshop concluded with a pitching session where they presented their business models to experts and received valuable feedback.
This transformative experience equipped Lamba and his peers with the necessary tools and insights to pursue social entrepreneurship, emphasizing the potential of using business as a force for good and the importance of a well-structured approach to creating impactful ventures.
