Yiğit Akdemir, originally from Istanbul, chose Chicago Booth for his MBA due to its practical approach to business education. His undergraduate experience at the University of Chicago, majoring in Economics and Statistics, included Booth classes that sparked his interest in business applications. Accepted into the Chicago Booth Scholars Program during his senior year, he deferred his MBA enrollment to gain professional experience.
Yiğit spent five years at J.P. Morgan, navigating global cash management during economic upheavals. This experience, combined with his academic background, prepared him for the challenges of investment banking. Returning to Booth as a joint MBA/MPCS student, Yiğit aims to merge his finance and technology expertise to excel in his future career.
