Dr. Youngme Moon, a renowned Harvard Business School professor, invites college students to discover the MBA world through HBS’s Peek program. Peek, a virtual initiative, debunks the myth that MBAs are solely for “corporate types” and showcases the degree’s versatility.
What is Peek?
Peek is an annual, interactive online program held in January for undergraduates curious about an MBA. It offers a comprehensive introduction to the MBA experience, illustrating how the degree equips students with general management skills applicable in diverse settings – from startups to global corporations, across both for-profit and non-profit sectors.
Program Highlights:
- Career workshops
- Mock case sessions
- Alumni and current student panels
- Case method sessions led by HBS faculty
Mission and Eligibility:
The program aims to introduce attendees to the MBA’s benefits, fostering skills like empathy, leadership, and personal branding. Peek 2024 is open to domestic and international undergraduates from all academic fields, graduating between October 2023 and December 2029.
Participation Benefits and Time Commitment:
Participants can engage in over 12 hours of programming over three days, tailored to their schedules. The event includes leadership discussions, career development insights, and networking opportunities, though it does not directly influence admissions to HBS’s 2+2 Program.
Further Participation and Learning Opportunities:
For those who have previously attended Peek and wish to explore more, HBS encourages engaging in other Admissions programming, given the similar nature of Peek’s annual content.
Peek offers a unique opportunity for undergraduates to explore the world of MBA education and consider how it aligns with their future career aspirations.
