On Veterans Day, HBS proudly highlights the journey of Rex Willis (MBA 2024), an active-duty US Navy officer currently navigating the dynamic terrain of Harvard Business School. Willis’s career trajectory evolved from Junior ROTC to steering billion-dollar warships, where he found fulfillment in leadership and team development.
Rooted in servant leadership, Willis recognized the paramount importance of human assets in the military. Inspired by his mother’s non-profit, Favor House, dedicated to helping underprivileged communities, Willis is committed to continuing this legacy through scholarship and mentorship programs.
Transitioning to Harvard Business School, Willis has found a seamless integration of his military background with the diverse academic environment. HBS’s emphasis on leadership and varied perspectives aligns with his values, enriching his worldview and refining his approach to impactful service.
