HEC Paris marked the graduation of its MBA Class of 2023 in a grand ceremony that brought together 294 students from 67 different nationalities. Gathered on the expansive 340-acre campus, the graduates were joined by their families, friends, and HEC faculty members for the commemoration of their academic journey.
The ceremony featured heartfelt speeches from Dean Kristine De Valck, graduate speaker Anna Dragina, and guest speaker Sophie Bellon, the CEO of Sodexo. They highlighted the transformative nature of the MBA journey, underscoring the value of the community built, the resilience developed in facing challenges, and the importance of continuous reinvention.
Participants of the HEC Paris MBA program shared their experiences, attributing their personal and professional growth not only to their world-class education but also to their diverse, multicultural cohort. The students cherished the exposure to different cultures and the lifelong friendships forged during their time at HEC.
Co-hosted by MBA graduates Marcelina Tobar and Thandiwe Mkhetshane, the ceremony reached its climax with an unexpected two-song concert by the band Magic System from Cote d’Ivoire. Lead singer Salif Traoré, a recent alumnus of the Global Executive Master in Management program, added to the joyous atmosphere with his performance.
