For the 12th consecutive year, University College London (UCL) has secured its position among the world’s top ten universities, according to the 2024 QS World University Rankings. This year, UCL is ranked ninth, putting it in the top 1% of the institutions assessed. The rankings consider various factors such as academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per faculty, faculty-to-student ratio, and international faculty and student ratios. Additionally, UCL was recognized for the second year as having the second-strongest international research network worldwide, reflecting its mission as London’s Global University. In total, the UK hosts five of the top 20 global universities, with UCL, Oxford, Cambridge, and Imperial all ranking in the top ten. UCL has consistently held this top 10 position since 2013, standing alongside prestigious institutions such as MIT, Stanford, and Harvard. UCL is also distinguished as one of the world’s top universities for the study of 43 subjects, with 10 ranked in the global top 10.
