Oxford Saïd Business School’s Masters in Financial Economics (MFE) program has been ranked tenth globally and second in the UK by the Financial Times’ Masters in Finance 2023 rankings. Out of the 55 leading Masters in Finance (MiF) programs assessed, the MFE program notably scored fourth worldwide for ‘aims achieved’ by students, with 91%, and sixth for ‘overall satisfaction’, scoring 9.45 out of 10.
The MFE program, a nine-month course in partnership with the University of Oxford’s Department of Economics, offers robust academic training fused with real-world applications, carefully designed in collaboration with leading financial recruiters. The curriculum encompasses vital skills for a successful career in finance, including corporate finance, financial econometrics, asset pricing, and economics.
The School achieved a notable rank of third in the world for diversity, with increases in the number of female students and faculty members, resulting in 56% female students on the program and full international representation.
The MFE program is one of the School’s most sought-after postgraduate courses, regularly receiving over 1,000 applicants for 80 spots. Due to high demand, the number of places will increase to 90 in the next academic year. Graduates of the program have secured positions at leading finance firms like Morgan Stanley, UBS, Goldman Sachs, and Bank of America, as well as global consulting firms such as McKinsey, BCG, and Bain.
Soumitra Dutta, Peter Moores Dean of Oxford Saïd, and Hamish Low, James Meade Professor of Economics at the University’s Department of Economics, expressed their pride in the program and its successful students.
